Berlin, 22.05.2024 Agency association GPRA appoints Bärbel Hestert-Vecoli to the German Council for Public Relations (DRPR).
Bärbel Hestert-Vecoli, Managing Director at Edelman Germany and Head of the Corporate Affairs Practice, has been appointed as the newest member of the DRPR. She joins the 19-member board with more than two decades of experience advising companies and institutions. Her areas of expertise are corporate reputation, executive positioning, sustainability and public affairs.
“Trustworthy and transparent communication plays a central, stabilising role in our society. The use of AI will lead to major changes in communication practice. I am therefore delighted to be able to contribute to the integrity of our industry in times of change as a member of the Council,” says Bärbel Hestert-Vecoli.
“With Bärbel Hestert-Vecoli, we welcome another expert to the Council on topics that have become increasingly relevant to communications and media in recent years due to the pandemic, climate change and the spread of AI,” said Elke Kronewald, Chair of the DRPR.
